Copying and pasting a step

The Task Assistant window shortcut menu includes options for copying or pasting steps. You may find that copying and pasting existing steps is helpful if you want to recycle steps or step configurations.

For more information about step configuration, see Introducing_the_Designer_tab.

Steps:
  1. Right-click the step you want to copy in the Task Assistant window and choose Copy Step.
  2. Right-click the step beneath which you want to paste the step and choose Paste Step.

The copied step is pasted beneath the highlighted step.

    NoteNote:

It is possible to copy and paste a number of steps at once using the Paste (with children) command. Right-click a parent step and choose Copy Step. Choose Paste (with children) at the location you want to paste the steps.
