Calibrating routes using the Calibrate Routes geoprocessing tool

The following steps outline how you can calibrate routes using the Calibrate Routes geoprocessing tool.

Steps:
  1. Click Geoprocessing > Search For Tools.
  2. Under System Toolboxes, click Linear Referencing Tools.
  3. Click the Calibrate Routes tool.
  4. Type the file name and path in theInput Route Featurestext box or click the browse button Browse to choose it.
  5. Click the Route Identifier Field drop-down arrow and click the route identifier field.
  6. Type the file name and path in theInput Point Featurestext box or click the browse button Browse to choose it.
  7. Click the Point Identifier Field drop-down arrow and click the point identifier field.
  8. Click the Measure Field drop-down arrow and click the measure field.
  9. Type the file name and path in theOutput Route Feature Classtext box or click the browse button Browse to specify the output location.
  10. Optionally, click the Measure Calculation Method drop-down arrow and click a measure calculation method.
  11. Optionally, type the search radius that will be used to match the points to the routes and click the drop-down arrow to choose the unit of measurement.
  12. Click OK to execute the tool.
