Linking control points to fabric points

This topic applies to ArcEditor and ArcInfo only.

Steps:
    To link a control point to a fabric point, follow these steps:
  1. In an edit session in ArcMap, click the Match A Control Point To A Point tool Match a control point to a point located on the Parcel Editor toolbar.
  2. If you are working in manual mode using fabric jobs, click the tool in an open fabric job.
  3. On the Control dialog box, choose the control point you want to link and click the Pan To button to pan the map display to the control point location.
  4. Click to snap on the control point, then click to snap on the parcel point to which you want to link the control point.
  5. The Network Point ID attribute field on the Control dialog box is populated with the fabric point ID.

TipTip:
To change the fabric point ID to which a control point is linked, choose the control point on the Control dialog box, then click the Edit button and type in another fabric point ID in the Network Point ID attribute field. Click the Update button to update and save the control point.
