Accessing the Route Events Geoprocessing wizard

This wizard is only available in ArcMap.

All functionality available in the Route Events Geoprocessing wizard is available in four geoprocessing tools located in the Linear Referencing toolbox. It is recommended that you use the geoprocessing tools instead of the Route Events Geoprocessing wizard to perform these operations.

Creating route feature classes

The Route Events Geoprocessing wizard can be added from the Customize dialog box in ArcMap. You can add this wizard to any of the drop-down menus or to any toolbar.

Steps:
  1. Click Customize > Customize Mode.
  2. Click the Commands tab.
  3. Scroll through the Categories list and click Linear Referencing.
  4. Click the Route Events Geoprocessing Wizard and drag it to the Tools menu.
  5. The menu opens and you can drop the wizard anywhere within it.

  6. Click Close.
