Description: This map presents country boundaries, first-order (State/Province) internal administrative boundaries for most countries, second-order administrative boundaries for the United States (counties) and some countries in Europe, and place-names for the world. This map is designed for use with maps with darker backgrounds, such as World Imagery.

The map was developed by Esri using administrative and cities data from Esri; DeLorme basemap layers for the world; NAVTEQ data for Australia, New Zealand, South America (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Venezuela), and parts of Southern Africa (Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, and Swaziland); NAVTEQ administrative, cities, and landmark data for North America and Europe; and TomTom data for select countries in Eastern Europe (Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Belarus, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, and Montenegro), and select European island nations (Cyprus, Faeroe Islands, Iceland, and Svalbard/Jan Mayen Islands).
