Importing footprint polygons

You can import footprint polygons using Recompute Footprint By Related Geometry. This allows you to copy the required geometry from external tables or layers. To use this capability, you must have joined the Footprint layer to the features that contain the required geometry in the target table or layer.

Schritte:
  1. Open an existing image service definition or use one that is already open in ArcMap.
  2. Right-click the Footprint layer and click Joins and Relates > Join.

    This allows you to create a join with an external table or layer.

  3. Right-click the Footprint layer in the table of contents and click Recompute Footprint > By Related Geometry.

    The Joined tables dialog box is displayed.

  4. Click the Copy geometry from drop-down arrow and choose the table or layer name from which you want to copy the geometry.
  5. Click OK.
