Defining derived rasters

You can build a derived raster for all the raster datasets in the image service or only for a selection. To build one for every raster dataset, go to step 3. To build them for one or more selected raster datasets, start at step 1.

Schritte:
  1. Open the service table.
  2. Select the raster for which you want to create a derived raster.
  3. Click the Image Service drop-down menu on the Image Service Editor toolbar and click Advanced > Optimize > Derived Rasters > Define.

This opens the Derived Raster Parameters dialog box.

  4. Optionally, type the path and name of the folder in the Derived Images Output Folder text box or click the browse button to choose it.
  5. Optionally, choose the sampling method in the Sampling Method drop-down list.
  6. Optionally, choose the format of the derived rasters in the Format drop-down list.

    VorsichtVorsicht:

The JPEG 2000 format cannot be used to write files that are 32- or 64-bit.

  7. Optionally, choose the compression method in the Compression Method drop-down list.
  8. Optionally, type the compression quality percentage in the Compression Quality text box.
  9. Optionally, choose the tile size in the Tile Size drop-down list.
  10. Click OK.

The derived rasters are defined in the raster process definitions.

Now you have to build the image service to generate the derived images. For this, you will have to check the Generate derived imagesoption on the Build Options dialog box.
