Creating an image service using the New Service Definition option

Schritte:
  1. Click the Image Service drop-down menu on the Image Service Definition Editor toolbar and click Advanced > New Service Definition.

    The Image Service Definition dialog box is displayed.

  2. Type appropriate values in the Service Definition path and name text box, or click the browse button Durchsuchen to navigate to the location and provide a name.
  3. Click the Spatial Reference browse button Durchsuchen and choose a .prj file for either a geographic or projected coordinate system.

    Previously selected spatial reference systems can also be chosen using the drop-down arrow.

  4. Click Select.
  5. Navigate to and choose a projected or geographic coordinate system.
  6. Click OK to close the Spatial Reference Properties dialog box.

    You can click the Information button Information button to review the parameters of the spatial reference file.

  7. Click the Service Type arrow and click a service type.

    The default values corresponding to the service type are displayed in the Number of Bands, Pixel Type, Bit Depth, and Color Space text boxes.

    If you choose Custom, edit the values in these four text boxes.

  8. Click OK to create the new service.

    The new service is added to the ArcMap table of contents as a group layer.

After creating a new service using the Image Service Definition dialog box, you need to add raster data to the image service definition.
